The members of the Deputation were Erkki Jomppanen, Niilo Magga, Matti Sverloff, L. Karppinen and Nilla Outakoski. They called on the President of the country and several members of the Council of State (the cabinet). Their purpose was to get an official in the Ministry of the Interior or a committee appointed to deal with Saami affairs.</P>
