<P align="justify"> [[Early Iron Age … <P align="justify"> [[Early Iron Age|An early Iron Age]] culture that flourished in eastern Russia along the lower waters of the River Kama and the middle Volga 800-200 B.C.. During the first period, although the axe blades and some of the spearheads were still made of bronze, most of the spearheads, the knives and the daggers were forged from iron. The production of cutting tools and weapons from bronze ended around 500 B.C. During the first period, the Ananino culture spread into northern and northwestern Russia, and its influence extended into eastern and northern [[Fennoscandia|Fennoscandia]]. The culture takes its name from a burial site near the town of Yelabuga on the lower Kama. </P><BR><BR>
