Veažir/the hammer and árpa/the pointer belong to the drum. The root of the antler forms the raw material for the veažir and also shapes it. The drum is beaten with the veažir and the árpa shows the way. The pictures that are carved on the bottom of the drum are decorative and at the same time hold symbolic meaning. Wet tanned reindeer hide is laid over the frame/bowl and fastened to it. This improves the sound of the drum. The pictures were drawn differently, depending on which area the drum maker came from.
