Manismi
Manismilla (< lat. manes, 'vainajain sielut') tarkoitetaan (lähinnä oman suvun) vainajien palvontaa ja toisaalta uskontotieteellistä tulkintasuuntaa, jossa uskoa vainajasieluihin ja esi-isien palvontaa pidetään uskonnon alkumuotona. Manismin teorian esitteli H. Spencer 1876. Saamelaisen kansanuskon tutkimuksessa esim. Uno Holmbergin tulkinnoissa manismi näyttäytyy vahvana.
